13 Best Vegan Restaurants in Dallas
13 Best Vegan Restaurants in Dallas
They say “everything’s bigger in Texas”, right? That might actually be true for the city of Dallas and its catalog of vegan options! If you’re looking for plant-based food in Dallas, you’ve come to the right place! So get to scrolling to see my 13 favorite vegan restaurants in Dallas, categorized by type of cuisine!
My Favorite: Vegan Creole/Soul Food Restaruants in Dallas
No matter where I go, I’m always looking for good vegan soul food! Thankfully, Dallas has a few vegan soul food restaurants that I just can’t get enough of and even has a Creole vegan spot! I’ve listed them below, in no particular order, so go ahead and try them out!
1. Vegan Food House
832 W 7th St, Dallas, TX 75208
Location: 832 W 7th St, Dallas, TX 75208
Phone number: (469) 248-0297
Website: Vegan Food House
Neighborhood: Oak Cliff
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is ~$22)

I’ve definitely eaten at Vegan Food House bout fifty-eleven times by now, so it tops my list of best vegan restaurants in Dallas for a reason! This Black-owned vegan restaurant was a game-changer for me. From the art, to the chandeliers, to the outdoor porch, their decor makes you feel like you just stepped into a home in New Orleans.
What keeps me coming back though, is the food. My favorite thing on the menu is the Stuffed Jalapeños. They have crunchy breading on the outside and ooey-gooey cheese on the inside! Then I like to make my way on over to the Fried Shrimp Po’Boy and wash it down with the Brown Suga Lemonade. If I’m really trying to do damage, I might cap my meal off with the 5 Country Beignets.
I’d recommend ordering online in advance because there’s usually a long line of folks waiting to get in on this Creole goodness.
2. ITSO Vegan
Location: 830 Mayfield Rd #600, Grand Prairie, TX 75052
Phone number: (469) 909-4090
Website: ITSO Vegan
Neighborhood: Grand Prarie
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is ~$15)

ITSO Vegan is a Black-owned restaurant that prides itself on being the first vegan restaurant in Grand Prarie, which is just outside of Dallas. I had so much to say about my meal at ITSO Vegan that I wrote an entire post about it!
If you usually find yourself throwin’ down on the sides at cookouts/family dinners, the “Just The Sides” plate is the way to go. They have greens, yams, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, and seasoned fries for you to choose from. With the “Just The Sides” plate, you can have them all!
If you want a protein to compliment your sides, you can also add a Krab Cake, Chiken Cutlet, or Fried Jackfruit Filet.
3. Tiff’s Vegan Kitchen
Location: 316 E Oak St, Denton, TX 76201
Phone number: No number available
Website: Tiff’s Vegan Kitchen
Neighborhood: Check website for current popup location
Price range: $$$$$ (my entree was ~$20)

Tiff’s Vegan Kitchen is a Black-owned restaurant that pops up all over Dallas serving vegan soul food classics like mac & cheese, greens, candied yams, cabbage, dressing (stuffing), cornbread, and fried chickun.
I tried the Fried Chickun (made of oyster mushrooms), Greens, Mac & Cheese, Corn Bread, Cheddar Biscuit, Fried Catfish Nuggets (also oyster mushrooms), and Philly Cheez Steak Egg Rolls. My family and I liked all of it, so I think it’s safe to say that you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. However, I’m slightly biased towards those Philly Cheez Steak Egg Rolls!
Be sure to check their website or Instagram to see where they are popping up next so you can grab a plate… or two like I did!
My Favorite: Vegan Mexican Restaurants in Dallas
There is plenty of great vegan-friendly Mexican food in Dallas, but if you’re looking to throw down at some completely vegan Mexican restaurants, I’ve got you covered! Check these vegan Mexican spots, listed below in no particular order.
4. Nuno’s Tacos & Vegmex Grill
Location: 8024 Spring Valley Rd Suite 8024, Dallas, TX 75240
Phone number: (972) 685-2703
Website: Nuno’s
Neighborhood: Richardson
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is $16)

Nuno’s is a Mexican-owned and operated vegan restaurant located in North Dallas that serves comfort foods like tortas, enchiladas, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and burritos. Every time I’m in North Dallas, I somehow find myself stopping by Nuno’s, even if it’s just for a taco.
If I’m big hungry, I go with the massive Chimi that comes smothered in queso, sour cream, morita salsa, and jalapeño salsa. Otherwise, I order the Street Tacos, which come with your choice of protein, onion, cilantro, and a slice of lime on the side.
They have 10 veggie protein options that they make and/or season in-house. I like to switch it up and try different proteins, but I always come back to my beloved Al Pastor and Deshebrada (shredded beef). Since the tacos are just $2 each, why not go buck wild and try all 10 options?
5. El Palote Panadería
Location: 537 S Buckner Blvd, Dallas, TX 75227
Phone number: (972) 807-2673
Website: El Palote
Neighborhood: Piedmont Addition
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is ~$16)

El Palote is a Mexican panadería (bakery) that serves a variety of pan dulces (pastries) and meals. Stop by to try their gorditas, flautas, enchiladas, tortas, burritos, and tacos for lunch or dinner and grab some of their pan dulces like galletitas (cookies), empanadas, or conchas for dessert.
I’m a sucker for a good street taco, so I highly recommend ordering the taco plate. I must say, their Special Pork Flavor is FIRE! Hands down my favorite of their 12 proteins and a must-try!
It is the closest thing I’ve EVER had to a real pork-tasting vegan item in my 12 years as a vegan. The texture and flavor of this thinly sliced protein are spot on with what I remember of animal-based pork.
6. Sierra Valley Food
Location: 920 S. Harwood Dallas, TX 75201 (Dallas Farmer’s Market)
Phone number: (817) 723-6906
Website: Sierra Valley Food
Neighborhood: Downtown Dallas
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is ~$13)

Sierra Valley Food is a family-owned and operated Mexican pop-up at the Dallas Farmer’s Market. They serve made-from-scratch burritos, tacos, nachos, and conchas, but their tamales are a must-have! Choose from their pork, chicken & salsa, cheese & green salsa, and black bean tamales. You truly can’t go wrong with any of them!
You can even have their frozen tamales and vegan meats delivered to you within the continental US for you to enjoy at home!
My Favorite: Vegan Bars in Dallas
It’s not every day that I stumble upon an all-vegan bar, so the fact that Dallas has two that I love is really saying something! If you’re looking for a happy hour or spot to grab a bite and a drink prior to going out, check out one of my favorite vegan bars in Dallas, which are listed below in no particular order.
7. Casa Del Vegano
Location: 333 W Jefferson Blvd, Dallas, TX 75208
Phone number: (972) 685-3003
Website: Casa Del Vegano
Neighborhood: Bishop Arts District
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is $20)

Casa Del Vegano is almost a direct translation of its sister restaurant, Vegan Food House. That’s right, this is another Black-owned vegan restaurant in Dallas!
If you appreciate a good ol’ vegan happy hour, Casa Del Vegano is the spot for you! Their menu houses a grip of options like Birria Tacos, Gulf Fried Fish Tortas, and Vegan Shrimp Ceviche. If you’re there during their happy hour from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Monday – Saturday, you can wash your meal down with a $5 margarita.
8. Shoal’s Sound and Service
Location: 2614 Elm St #110, Dallas, TX 75226
Phone number: (469) 677-0176
Website: Shoal’s Sound and Service
Neighborhood: Deep Ellum
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is $12)

If you’re looking for some vegan eats to start your night out in Deep Ellum, Shoal’s Sound and Service is the spot for you. They are a bar with an all-vegan Latinx American menu featuring finger foods like Argentine-style empanadas, Venezuelan arepas, tortas, Cuban sandwiches, NYC bodega-style chopped cheese sandwiches, and sides.
Their full bar has beer, wine, and cocktails, so go ahead and order you a vegan Pisco Sour made with aquafaba, a margarita, or one of their 10 other Latinx American-inspired cocktails.
My Favorite: Vegan Asian Restaurants in Dallas
Asian food has forever been one of my go-to cuisines for a wide variety of vegan options, and that holds true in Dallas. In no particular order, I’ve listed a few of my favorite vegan Asian restaurants in Dallas that you should definitely check out!
9. Goji Cafe
Location: 2330 Royal Ln STE 900, Dallas, TX 75229
Phone number: (972) 243-1888
Website: Goji Cafe
Neighborhood: Northwest Dallas
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is ~$12)

Goji Cafe is my favorite Asian restaurant in Dallas. Their menu features appetizers, salads, soups, rice dishes, and Western menu items. I regret not trying their buffet while it was still open, so I’ll for sure make a trip back out to Dallas just for Goji when the buffet re-opens!
With so many options, it’s hard to narrow down to my favorites, but I have to go with the Protein Spring Rolls and the Seitan Lemongrass Vermicelli.
The Protein Spring Rolls are fresh rice paper wraps stuffed with spring mix, seitan, carrot, and cucumber with a peanut dipping sauce. The Seitan Lemongrass Vermicelli noodles are basically the naked version of the Protein Spring Rolls, but the sauce is what sets it off!
10. D’Vegan
Location: 9780 Walnut St, Dallas, TX 75243
Phone number: (972) 437-3939
Website: D’Vegan
Neighborhood: Lake Highlands
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is ~$12)

D’Vegan is an Asian restaurant in North Dallas that has over 3 dozen items on its menu, like curries, fried rice, noodles (bowls, dishes, and soups), and Western dishes.
My favorite item on their menu is their Spicy Cha Cha. It’s a savory and spicy dish featuring crispy panko-breaded fried shrimp, onions, red & green bell peppers, and jalapeños all sautéed in delicious spices.
Going to D’Vegan is a two-for-one deal for me because I get to grab my Spicy Cha Cha and then hit up Hong Kong Market next door to pick up groceries!
My Favorite: Vegan Sandwich / Burger Restaurants in Dallas
If you’re looking for a bomb sandwich or burger in Dallas, I’ve listed out my go-to spots below, in no particular order.
11. Bam’s Vegan
Location: 2301 N O’Connor Rd, Irving, TX 75062
Phone number: (972) 600-9488
Website: Bam’s Vegan
Neighborhood: Irving
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is $15)

What’s better than supporting one Black-owned restaurant that has bomb food? Supporting two at the same time! Classic case of a Black-owned business supporting another by outsourcing their desserts. We love to see it!
I had been wanting to try Bam’s Vegan for a MINUTE, and finally got the chance to try both Bam’s and Crave by Joy! I must say, it was well worth the wait.
The texture of the organic soy shreds in the Blackened Chicken Wrap was straight-up perfection. The Spinach Alfredo had the perfect creaminess and the smoothie didn’t disappoint either. The Oatmeal Creampie from Crave by Joy was good enough to make my best friend and nephew double back to get another bite.
12. Spiral Diner
Location: 1101 N Beckley Ave, Dallas, TX 75203
Phone number: (214) 948-4747
Location: 608 E. Hickory St Denton, TX 76205
Phone number: (940) 514-0101
Location: 1314 W. Magnolia Ave Fort Worth, TX 76104
Phone number: (817) 332-8834
Website: Spiral Diner
Price range: $$$$$ (most expensive entree is $22)

Spiral Diner is one of my OG Dallas spots for good eats. Their flagship restaurant in Dallas has classic diner decor coupled with some classic diner menu items like burgers, shakes, and fries.
I appreciate that they offer a soy and wheat protein burger patty and house-made cashew and quinoa burger patty. If you’re a Beyond fanatic though, you can upgrade to a Beyond patty as well.
If diner food isn’t your steeze, they have other lunch and dinner options like nachos, burritos, bowls, salads, sandwiches, and made-from-scratch desserts.
They take things to a whole new level though with their all-day breakfast menu, featuring pancakes, breakfast tacos, and breakfast burgers.

We all deserve a lil’ sweet treat every once in a while, right? Go on ahead and make your way over to my favorite vegan bakery in Dallas for some (almost) guilt-free vegan baked goods.
